April
Hope Squad engagement activities were implemented across all participating schools throughout the academic year, with formal Hope Week events at select sites and consistent monthly activities at others. At McCall-Donnelly High School (MDHS), Hope Week was conducted April 6–10, 2026, featuring a full week of themed activities aligned with the “Courage to Connect” focus. Daily events such as the Bead Challenge, Taco Tuesday, Chill & Connect, Hope Bingo, and Hope Floats were led by students and designed to promote peer connection, increase visibility of support systems, and encourage positive interactions school-wide. In addition to Hope Week, MDHS facilitated ongoing monthly engagement activities including Boo Grams, Turkey Grams, kindness-based outreach, and participation in the regional Youth Summit.
At Mountain Community School (MCS), Hope Week was implemented March 9–13, 2026, with a focus on kindness and anti-bullying. Activities included “Caught You Being Kind,” Taco Tuesday, Bead Challenge, Positive Pins, and Hope Floats, creating daily opportunities for students to recognize positive behaviors, build relationships, and reinforce inclusive school culture within a smaller school setting.
At Barbara Morgan Elementary School (BRMES), while a formal Hope Week was not scheduled, students participated in consistent, developmentally appropriate Hope Squad activities throughout the year. These included gratitude-focused bulletin boards, recess-based engagement such as “Hide and Seek” with Hope Squad members, classroom skits, Heart Grams, Kindness Sticks, and school-wide events such as a dance party and Hope Floats. These activities emphasized foundational skills such as kindness, inclusion, and positive peer interactions.
At Payette Lakes Middle School (PLMS), Hope Squad efforts were implemented through ongoing monthly engagement rather than a single Hope Week. Activities included Boo Grams, Turkey Grams, school spirit items, Bingo Cards, a Friday Fun Night campfire event, and participation in the Youth Summit. These activities supported peer connection, increased student engagement, and reinforced help-seeking behaviors in a middle school setting.
Across all sites, Hope Squad programming was adapted to align with each school’s structure, age group, and capacity, while maintaining a consistent focus on strengthening connection, promoting belonging, and increasing awareness of peer and adult support systems.
