After overcoming the challenges of sleeping through the night, potty training, toddler tantrums, and grade school, parents are often bewildered by the world of parenting teenagers. Active Parenting of Teens is a six-session parenting course for parents of preteens and teens. Parents will work on skills necessary for effective discipline, teaching responsibility, and communicating clearly with their preteen and teenage children. In addition, each session gives parents the opportunity to learn how to work through challenging topics, including drugs, sexuality, and violence. Over the course of six weeks, we work together to support other parents and families, discussing the many challenges that come with parenting and learning new skills together as a parenting community.
